Every Business Owner Needs Essential Oils
There, I said it, and I believe it. I’m sure multiple times a day you see pictures of cute little bottles of essential oils and a reason why they’re great. Well, we are going to take it a few steps deeper.
I started using Young Living’s Essential Oils in October 2016, when I had seen some pictures and heard some stories of them. For some reason, whether I wanted to help my family health, or I had some premonition, I’m not really sure, but I took a leap of faith and ordered a Premium Starter Kit from a friend I trusted. Then a week my kids came down with Hand Foot and Mouth, we all got strep and to top it off, food poisoning that was relentless. Needless to say, that month was a month full of gross details that I’ll spare you of.
So here I was, feeling helpless as we were all sick. Plus, trying to work on client work, and attend classes at the local university. My oils were the thing that made a difference in my ability to help my family feel better, plus give myself some sanity in work and homework. Rosemary is good for concentration and you better believe I was smelling it as I worked. I could tell by my grades when I was not using the oil, which for me was a great test of using the oil.
*Thieves is one of Young Living’s signature oil that smells like Christmas and the blend of clove, lemon, cinnamon, Eucalyptus Radiata and rosemary oils that promote wellness.
RC is a blend that gives a spa-like experience and that helps when we have congestion. We diffuse it when we have colds and when I want to sleep better.
*Raven is good for congestion. It is similar to a Vicks vapor rub.
Every Day Use
*Lavender oil is one of my most favorite and most used oils from the primary starter kit. It creates a calming environment and I love it for a better night’s sleep. I don’t know about you, but when I don’t sleep, things in my business don’t go very well.
*Lemon can be used for so many things. I love diffusing it to help with bad smells in the house or if I want a fresh scent. It’s great for adding to water for flavor, using in cleaning and many other uses.
Clarity is an oil that provides clarity for focus. I find that if I’ve been working on something for a long time and need to refocus, sniffing this oil helps. Also, from the Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils (REPEO) book, Clarity can help overcome emotional stress, guilt or repression.
Digize is hands down an oil I never want to be without. It is the oil for upset stomachs, to help you digest when you eat fatty foods, or when you are having digestive problems because of bad diet.
Valor is one of my favorite oils. It helps me feel confident in what I’m doing. I wear it when I feel overwhelmed, when I want to get stuff done, and when I’m going into a crowd. From my REPEO book, Valor helps with aggression, defensiveness, fear of conflict, inability to cope, losing a battle, persecution, resignation and withdrawal.
Gathering, according to REPEO, used for feel bad or enslaved. I used this one a lot when I was working through some hard emotions. It’s one that I don’t use often but one that is helpful to have around for emotional balance.
Purification is a huge multipurpose oil. It can be used in insect repellent, to freshen the air, help eliminate odors and freshen linens. As an emotional oil, it’s good for fear, negative or erroneous thoughts, recognition or violence.
Joy helps with anxiety, disappointment, grief, incongruency, judgement and being miserable. This is a great oil to have around for those sad days when you need a pick me up or to spritz on to help with hard emotions and situations.
Getting Rid the Toxins
I do believe essential oils can empower you to live your best life as you take better care of yourself. We put a lot of crap and toxins in our body every day. Women alone, depending on their make-up routine, wear over 100 chemicals on their face alone. Chemicals and synthetic materials that can mess with hormones, create imbalances and cause lasting harm.
Even common “safer” brands are not free from a lot of chemicals or synthetic ingredients. That’s why I have changed most of our household items to the Young Living brand. Young Living also just came out with make-up which is wonderful and gives a healthy glow that is beautiful.
We all know one of the keys to a great business is networking and relationships. The friends I have made from the group of gals who are in my oil Facebook group, She Does Justice Hangout, and my upline, are amazing and they have made me feel not so crazy for loving my business, giving helpful advice on natural motherhood and being a little crunchy or natural. Plus, they pray for me! How cool is that!
I intentionally add oils to my day and I feel better and have a clearer mind which is great for business, right!
Now that you’ve dug deeper with me, I want to invite you to invest in yourself and your family and buy your own primary starter kit. You never know what’s next on your journey and how having those oils at your fingertips will help you!
