Introducing my friend Kawaii – a homeschool mom of seven years with past traditional teaching experience and a family of six kids. In this episode, we’re bringing our personal conversations to your ears. Listen in as we talk about the following:
  •  Needing a “refresh” in seasons of stress and burnout by returning to Christ as the foundation, praying with my husband, checking in with mentors, and adjusting structure.
  • We discuss routines/rhythms versus schedules, seasonal refreshes, and customizing family rhythms by season (including teens’ late-night openness and the flexibility of homeschooling).
  • Kawaii explains her “Summer Sanity Guide,” focused on time blocking, prioritizing non-negotiables, removing overcommitments, and giving moms ideas for summer and boredom.
  • We address surrender, limits to “doing it all,” community (including social media with boundaries), and the long-term fruit of faithfulness at home and in business.
More about Kawaii: Kawailehua Pakjake is a homeschooling mom of 7 years and passionate about helping moms find confidence in homeschool and parenting by encouraging them to slow down and prioritize their days with Christ. Kawailehua spent 11 years in the “traditional” school system teaching both in the public and private sector from preschool to the elderly, and those with special needs. In her free time she lives simple days with her husband of 23 years and their 6 children who adventure new life in the mountains of Idaho after moving from Hawaii.
